Seita's Personal Art Commission

Terms & Conditions

I. General

  1. This document describes Terms & Conditions of Seita's Personal Art Commission, where the Client purchases a Completed Artwork from Seita ("the Artist").
  2. The Artist has the right to refuse any commission request from the Client, without needing to explain the reason.
  3. The Artist has the right to stop work or cancel a commission request due to poor communication, rude/inappropriate behavior, or a breach of these Terms of Service.
  4. The Client accepts that largest display resolution for Genshin Card commission Completed Artwork is 1317 x 1591 pixels. Largest display resolution for other forms of commission can be requested before the work starts, and cannot be changed later.
  5. The Client accepts that Completed Artwork will be sent in digital .jpeg file form. Other forms (transparent .png, etc) may be requested before work starts; for which additional fee may incur. No physical object will be sent.
  6. The Client accepts that this is a commission for personal, non-commercial purposes. Details of purposes can be seen in section "Usage" further down this document.

II. Payment

  1. Payment is done in US$ Dollar for non Indonesians and Indonesians living outside Indonesia. Indonesians living in Indonesia can choose between US$ or IDR (Rupiah).
  2. The Client pays the Artist in two parts: first 50% upfront, without which work on commission will not be started; and second 50% + additional fee, if any (complete payment) after commission work is done, before the Completed Artwork is sent to the Client.

III. Process

  1. The Client may request commission by twitter Direct Message to the Artist's account @felis_seita or by any other means to contact the Artist.
  2. The Client provides visual reference of the character/object that they want the Artist to draw. The Client describes the specific conditions they want the Artist to draw the character/object in, where applies (example: pyro/red element background for Genshin Card; facing right-front with wind blowing the character's hair right to left for non Genshin Card). Largest display resolution and/or artwork file form (other than .jpeg) can be discussed and agreed here, and cannot be changed later.
  3. The Artist may or may not accept to do the commission work. If The Artist accepts, the Client pays the Artist first 50% as mentioned in "Payment" section. Thus begins the Client-Artist relationship.
  4. Drawing process takes 2-3 weeks. If the Artist expects to finish sooner or later (may be due to real life job, health, family, or other issues), the Client will be notified.
  5. Work in progresses (WIP) may be sent periodically to the Client as an update. The Client can request WIP if the Artist doesn't send any.
  6. When lineart/base is done, WIP will be sent to the Client. At this time, 1x minor changes/edits can be requested (such as small accessory position). If the Artist deems the change needs to be redrawn completely (such as outfit change, addition/removal of accessories), an additional fee will incur. No more changes can be done after this.
  7. When the artwork is complete, a preview of the Completed Artwork (in smaller resolution, with big watermarks) will be sent to the Client as a proof.
  8. The Client completes payment to the Artist as mentioned in "Payment" section.
  9. The Completed Artwork in agreed largest display resolution & file form will be sent to the Client after complete payment.
  10. After this point, the Client-Artist relationship ends, and no complaints or dispute about the previously Completed Artwork will be accepted. If the Client requests another new commission, a new Client-Artist relationship with this process begins.

IV. Usage

  1. The Artist retains the rights of the Completed Artwork, which includes but not limited to : distribution; reproduction; use for Artist promotion (such as social media profiles, posts).
  2. The Client can use the Completed Artwork for non commercial purpose, such as social media post/profile with proper credits (stating "Seita" or twitter username @felis_seita as the artist); printing art for personal use only.
  3. What the Client can NOT do with the Completed Artwork are commercial purposes, which includes but not limited to : editing/changing it; selling it; taking credits for the creation of it; using it as part of their merchandise (whether paid or declared "free gift"); submitting it to contests.

V. Cancellation & Breach of Terms and Conditions

  1. The Client can cancel commission anytime before Completed Artwork is sent to the Client. In this case, NO refunds can be done. The Client will NOT receive any form of artwork that has been done up to that point. After this point, the Client-Artist relationship ends.
  2. If the Client breaches Terms and Conditions, the Client loses all the rights described here.
  3. The Artist can cancel commission anytime before Completed Artwork is sent to the Client. In this case, the Client will receive full refund from the Artist. The Client will NOT receive any form of artwork that has been done up to that point. After this point, the Client-Artist relationship ends.
